Mrs. A. L. Dallas died November 13, 1951, the widow of Rev. A. L. Dallas who passed away January 24, 1927. She was born April 1, 1874, in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Carrington. She was married to Rev. A. L. Dallas on June 12, 1907, at home in Savannah, Tennessee, by Brother Cook, the Methodist minister. Brother Dallas was minister of the Lexington, Tennessee Circuit where they met. Both Brother and Mrs. Dallas had been married previously. Brother Dallas had two sons by his first marriage, W. W. Dallas who lives in Brighton, Tennessee, and Clarence Dallas who lives in Evinsville, Tennessee. Mrs. Dallas has one daughter, Mrs. J. H. Campbell, who lives in Union City. She has several grandchildren, two in Union City--Garrison Campbell, with whom she was living at the time of her death, and Mrs. Cliff Wilson. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Comer Hastings, minister of the First Methodist Church in Union City, and the Rev. O. A. Marrs, a friend of the family and one who had helped her many times. She was laid to rest in East View Cemetery in Union City.
