Graveside services for the late Mrs. Zelma Lee Sasnett Higgs of Americus, Ga., formerly of Key West, Fla., who passed on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, will be held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Key West City Cemetery.
Mrs. Higgs was born in Westville, Fla., on March 31, 1918, to the parentage of the late Mr. Hugh Sasnett and the late Mrs. Amanda Reeder Sasnett. She was married to the late Mr. Clarence Higgs.
She leaves to mourn her passing her caretakers and friends, Elder James and Mrs. Beulah Jackson of Americus; stepdaughter, Ms. Paula Payton of Norfolk, Va.; grandchildren, Ms.
Marion Revells of Crawfordville, Fla., Mr. Lawrence (Cathy) Higgs of Hickory, N.C., Mr. Clarence Becky) Higgs of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mr. Mike Payton and Mr. Pat Payton, both of Norfolk, Va.; and great-grandchildren, Ms. Cori Revells, Mr.
Lawrence Higgs Jr., Ms. Lauren Mooney, Ms. Kaleigh Hattan and Mr. Sonny Higgs and their families.
Mrs. Higgs retired from the Monroe County Property Appraiser's office.
