Theodore 'Ted' Schmitz Jr, age 73, of Hudson WI passed away on August 6, 2013.
Ted was born on September 23, 1939, in St Paul MN to Theodore Sr. and Evelyn (Hartigan) Schmitz.
Loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Following his graduation from Johnson High School in St Paul, he enlisted in the United States Navy, in which he proudly served until 1960. Proud member of Pipefitters for 50 years, and past board member. Achieved a teaching certificate at Purdue. Ted was a passionate golfer and avid outdoorsman. He also was a hockey coach for children's athletics.
Survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce; children: Tony (Karen), Terry (Vince) Running, Tom, Peter (Tracy), Paul (Lisa), and Barb; sisters, Evelyn Shelafoe and Kathy (Dick) Johnson; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and 7 nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery
