Mrs. Baker was born in Decatur, the daughter of Frederick Wilhelm and Rosa May Adamson Wendt. She was a former bookkeeper for Macon County Farm Bureau, member of Grace United Methodist Church for over 70 years, member of VFW Auxiliary, Delta Theta Tau Sorority and various bridge clubs and civic clubs in Decatur. She married W. Earl Baker Sr. He preceded her in death. Surviving are her son, W. Earl Baker Jr. and wife Beverly of Decatur; daughters, Joanne and husband Merle Bourne of Decatur; Dolorez L. and husband Byrd Davis III of Decatur; niece, Helen Hall of Decatur; lifelong friends, Dorothy Doyle and Helen Keeler of Decatur; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers and three sisters.
