Ruby Elizabeth Matthews, 90, pased away Monday, Jan 26, 2009 in Wichita Falls.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2009, in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls, with her grandsons, Ronnie Matthews Jr., and Robb Matthews, officiating.
Internment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
A daughter of the late Jesse Lee and Emma (Everett) Bills, she was born on February 1, 1918, in Wichita Falls.
On March 6, 1937, she married Clarence Nelson Matthews. He preceded her in death February 21, 1997. Mrs.Matthews was a lifelong resident of Wichita Falls, and a longtime seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son Ronnie A Matthews Sr.
Survivors include her son Gerald N(Susan) of Wichita Falls; her sister, Margie (R.B.)Faulkner of Iowa Park; a brother, Alvin Bills of Red Bluff, California; seven grandchildren, Ronnie (Summer) Matthews Jr of Henrietta, Christina (Jeff)Scruggs, Leslie and husband Dan, all of Wichita Falls, Robb(Wendy)Matthews of College Station, Rachell (Conrad) Cooper of Wichita Falls, Ryan(Carrie)Matthews of Holliday and Randy (Erin)Matthews of Wichita Falls; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2009, at Owens & Brumley Funeral home of Wichita Falls.
