Flora Eleanor Deckman, wife of Earl Deckman, of 1616 Baldwin Street, died yesterday at the Williamsport Hospital. Her first husband was Charles Alonzo Hakes.
Mrs. Deckman was 40 years old last May 12 and is survived by her mother, Mrs. Effie Barto, two children, Mrs. Isabella C (Hakes)Paulhamus and Mr. Foster Emerson Hakes, two sisters Mrs. Chester Clayton and Mrs. Roland Egly, and four brothers, Lester Barto,
Ralph Barto, Alvin Barto and Albert Barto.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the home and at 2:30 p.m. at the Huntersville Church. Interment will be made in the Huntersville Cemetery
* Records from her parents show that Flora was born in 1893, not 1894 as shown on her headstone. 1894 was given [erroneously] on her death certificate; subsequently, her age and stone inscription are based on that. So she was actually 41 "last May 12" as stated in the obituary.
