Mrs. Albertina Melin, residing in Leaf Valley, died yesterday, aged sixty-six years and four months. The funeral will take place on Saturday afternoon at one o'clock from the house and at three o'clock from the Swedish Lutheran church of Ida. Mrs. Melin's husband died some time ago and for years past she resided on the old homestead with her son, Axel E. Melin. Mrs. Melin's maiden name was Albertina Engstrom, and she was born on Feb. 14, 1844. She was married at Houghton, Mich., in 1865. Her children, Charles J., Victor and Albert of Ida, Mrs. Hannah Monson of Moorhead, Mrs Sophia Kolberg of Brandon and Axel E. Melin were able to be present at her bedside at the end. There also survives her a brother, Charles Thoren of Negaunee, Mich., and half-sister, Mrs. G. A. Anderson of Carlos.
