Born on April 8, 1933 in Elmhurst, IL the son of the late Victor H. and Mary "May" K. (nee Hottinger) Rood and passed away on Sunday, February 15th, 2015. Roy was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was the owner of American Painting and Decorating in the Northwest Suburbs and was also a real estate agent. Roy was the longtime companion of the late Lorraine "Elizabeth". He was preceded in death by Katherine Rood, Harold Rood, Victor Rood, Sr., Frank Rood, Lou (late Chester) Bucknell, and Josephine (late Frank) Jacobs and a late nephew Victor Rood, Jr.
