Dorathie was the sixth of 7 children born to George Werner and Gertrude E (Bayard) Schmitt. She married John Francis Corriere on April 22, 1933 at St Nicholas Church in Evanston (Cook), IL. Together they helped raise Ellen, Andrew and Dorathie O'Connor.
After John passed away, Dorathie married James Joyce Wiesen on December 10, 1977 at St Williams Church in Chicago (Cook), IL. James had 2 children from a previous marriage: Patricia and Katherine.
