Mrs Burrill was born July 26, 1861 on a farm near Monmouth, IL, and was the daughter of Mary Jane and Edward Grover. She received her education in the Brushwood school near Viola, and in 1920 moved to Viola. She was married in the United Presbyterian church in Viola to Charles W. Burrill in 1881. He preceded her in death in 1911. One son, Roy, also died.
She was affiliated with the Methodist church of Viola, and was active in church affairs.
Surviving are two daughters; Mrs Nina E. Masker of Viola and Mrs Grace Miller of Silver Cliff, Colo.; three sons, Elmer Burrill of Aledo and Roe and Ollie Burrill, both of Viola; 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two grandsons are in the service, Fireman First Class Roy Burrill, stationed in the Aleutians and Leo Burrill, in the army in Germany.
