Obituary

Joyce Botts Cooley Meneley was born on October 7, 1949. She went home to be with her heavenly father and other family members who went before her on Monday, February 16, 2015. She went peacefully in her sleep at her residence.

Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life. She had a great love for all of her family members. She enjoyed traveling and doing things with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and always loved family gatherings and was always the life of the party.

She was born and raised in Cleveland, Tennessee, and a graduate of Bradley Central High School. She worked at Hardwick Clothes for several years and managed the Cleveland Speedway Concession. She managed a school cafeteria in San Antonio, Texas while residing there. She took care of her father until he passed away. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Sunrise Baptist Church for several years.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Noah and Jeanette Hooker, Wade and Zadie Botts; her parents, Luther and Emma Lee Botts; her brother, David Dwight Botts; her sister Sharron Diana Botts Lee Grant; her granddaughter, Rebekah Cooley.

She is survived by her four (4) sons: Jimmy Vance Cooley and wife, Robin; Anthony Eldon (Andy) Cooley and wife Kimberly; Jody Christopher Cooley; Randy Clinton Cooley and wife, Melody, all of Cleveland; one (1) daughter, Rhonda Lynn Cooley Prince and husband, Ted, of Copperhill, TN. She had eleven (11) grandchildren and ten (10) great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jimmy Botts and wife, Rosa Lee and Dennis Botts and wife, Marcia; several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as her longtime special friend and companion, Don Humphries

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Companion Funeral Home. The funeral will be at7:00pm, immediately following visitation, in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Moore officiating. Interment will be at Boanerges Church Cemetery on Friday, February 20, 2015, at 1:00pm.
