BARDWELL, Ky. - Edward Clay Allan, 71, of Bardwell passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Allan, formerly of Riverton, worked for Greyhound Bus Lines as a ticket agent for 25 years before moving to Kentucky. In 1997, he retired as an over-the-road driver from Pascal Truck Lines in Murray, Ky.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Nannette Fuess Allan; four daughters, Enola and Terry Owens of Springfield, Katrina Collett, Edwina and Pete Turner and Wilhelmina "Gomer" Cunningham, all of Bardwell; seven grandchildren, Kenneth "Thumper" Kick, Robert Kick, Jennifer Woods, Amanda Wiley, Edward Cunningham, Tyler Owens and Clifton Turner; and eight great-grandchildren, Alexandria Allan, Elizabeth and Catrina Gilbert, Layla Cunningham, Justus Meyer, Avery Kick and Jewell and Ricky Wiley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward George and Clarice Clay Allan; a grandson; and son-in-law, Mark Collett.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Bardwell Methodist Church with the Rev. Joshua Pendergrass officiating.
