Lyle J. Lang, 73, died Feb. 15, at his home in Great Bend. Born Feb. 15, 1942, in Great Bend, he was the son of Frank and Gertrude (Eckert) Lang. On Oct. 24, 1966, he married Nancy Weber in Great Bend. They later divorced. A lifetimre area resident, he was a truck driver for Meadow Gold Dairy, Santa Fe Trucking and Kansas Brick and Tile.
Mr. Lang was a United States Army Reserve veteran, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #862, both in Great Bend, and American Legion Post #286 in Hoisington.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Lang.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore celebrating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Great Bend, with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard.
