Jack Crumbaker Obituary:
Jack E. Crumbaker passed away at home while surrounded by his family on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, at the age of 92.

He was born in Riverside, Wash., on Jan. 7, 1910, the young-est child of Lilburn and Ir-ene Crumbaker. As a young boy, Jack's family moved to Helena where he was educated and later went to work for the Federal Reserve. In his early 20's, Jack moved to Roundup where he worked for the Miners and Merchants Bank. He then moved to Billings and went to work for Security Bank, where he was employed for 15 years.

On June 8, 1935, Jack married Florence Borek. The couple was blessed with a daughter, Carol. Jack became a part owner of the Billings Dairy, where he worked until his retirement in 1961.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. After retiring, Jack built a cabin outside of Silver Gate, where he, his family and friends spent many joyful years. Jack was a member of the board of directors for the Elks Club at the time the current club was built. In addition, he was a past president of the Montana Dairy Association and the Montana/Wyoming Credit Union Association.

Jack's biggest joy in life was spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Florence Crumbaker; daughter Carol Crumbaker; grandchildren Shelby (Michael) Gilluly, Sydne (Jeff) DeBusk and Jeff (Sharene) Nelson; great grandson Jade Nelson; nephew Bob (Norma) Crumbacher; nieces Bernice (Buzz) Christiensen and Darlene Sullivan; and devoted family friend Darryl Smith.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Lilburn and Irene Crumbaker; brother Howard (Vienna) Crumbaker; sisters Alice (Ward) Greene and Esther (Jerry) Sullivan; beloved nephew Jerry Sullivan; and many great friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 4, at American Lutheran Church, Lewis Ave. and Division St. Casket will be closed at church. Interment will be in Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park. Memorials may be sent to Big Sky Hospice, PO Box 35033, Billings, MT 59107.
