Double funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. for Nell Fletcher Armstrong, 59, for 29 years a mathematics teacher in two Portland high schools, and her husband, Louis I. Armstrong, 60, dairyman of Orchards, Wash.

Mrs. Armstrong died early Sunday, three days after her husband succumbed to a heart ailment. She was stricken at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Earl Hanna, in Vancouver and expired a few hours later. Her mother, Mrs. George Fletcher, died last October.

Double rites will be at the Vancouver funeral chapel, with Rev. George L. Jefferson, Portland, officiating. Vault interment will follow at Park Hill cemetery.

Louis I. Armstrong was a member of the Clark county fair board. Born March 25, 1889, in Missouri, he moved to this area in 1911. He served in the army during World War I and was a member of Manor and Pamona granges.

He married Nell Fletcher in 1927 in Yelm. Surviving him are his father, Jacob Armstrong, Orchards; daughter, Mrs. Frances Iverson, Gales Creek, Or.; two grandchildren and brothers, Elmer and Clarence, Vancouver, and H. L., Cle Elum, Wash.
