Betty Jo Williamson, age 79, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Pendleton, SC, on May 13, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James Grover Hood and the late Ellen Geneva Collins Hood. She worked in the textiles industry at the Milliken Plant in Pendleton for more than 45 years. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. Betty was a member of Bishop Branch Baptist Church, but as her health declined she enjoyed worshipping with various television evangelists.

She is survived by three brothers, James Grover Hood Jr. and his wife Mary Elizabeth, Ronnie Hood and Roger Hood; and four sisters, Parnelle Rochester, Rita Crane and her husband Nick, Janice Ann Rollins and Sylvia Ross and her husband Andy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R.E. Williamson; a brother, Jackie Donald Hood; and two sisters, Joyce Hood and Jeanette Hood.
