ELY - William A. Lipscomb, 59, died here in a local hospital Tuesday.
Mr. Lipscomb was superintendent of Eureka County Schools for the past two years. Before coming to Nevada he taught many years in Idaho.
He was a native of Garwood, Idaho and was born July 15, 1911.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, Knights Templar, a member of the Elks Club in Jerome, Idaho, and belonged to the Phi Delta Kappa, a teachers organization.
Survivors include his widow, Eleanor of Eureka; five daughters, Marilyn Lloyd, Spokane, Wash.; Carole A. Ish, San Mateo, Calif.; Judith A. Grunke, Nyssa, Ore.; Jacqueline K. Cambron, San Jose, Calif.; Virginia Lipscomb of Eurkea, a student at the University of Nevada. Six grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services will be held Thursday in Eureka.
Burial will take place in Spokane, Wash., Saturday.
