She was originally recorded in the Mustang, Oklahoma Cemetery, but her obituary states Moore Cemetery, Oklahoma Cemetery. However, I have received reports she is not in the Moore Cemetery and she has a marker in the Mustang Cemetery with her first husband, therefore I am placing her in the Mustang Cemetery.

Evra "Mae" Grooms, 87, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away February 13, 2015. She was born January 2, 1928 to Jack and Ethel Amburn in Hollis, Oklahoma.

Mae loved gardening, reading, sewing, fishing, and boating. She also loved to watch westerns and Judge Judy. She also loved to watch birds, parades and going to the State Fair. Her favorite color is purple. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sisters, Katheryn Haraughty and husband, John, and Julia Grant; grandchildren, Tammy Martinez and husband, Rocky, and Roger Brown; great-grandchildren, Casandra Blackmore and husband, Chris MeDaris, Rocky Martinez, Jr., and Michael Martinez; great-great granddaughter, Amelia Wilkes; a host of nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by 2 husbands, Thomas Williams and Charles Grooms; brother, Edmond Amburn; daughter, Sandra Brown.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, February 20, 2015 at the chapel of John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.

Interment to follow at Moore Cemetery, Moore, OK.

Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
