Born in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to Oscar and Anna Battershell Baril, she married Leonard Leon Lewis on June 18, 1926, in Toledo, Ill. He preceded her in death, as did three sisters and one brother.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty Livingston and Reba Craven; two sons, Jack and Tom; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was a schoolteacher in Potomac. She worked at Walgreens and in real estate sales, both in Champaign. She attended Eastern Illinois University and Illinois State Normal University.
She was a member of the University Place Christian Church.
Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign.
