He enlisted in 1862 and served with 44th GA vols. Company H. He was wounded. After being released from the hospital, he was sent back to the war, but could not perform his duties. He was sent to work in the Richmond, VA hospital and was there when Richmond was evacuated. He died about 1895 in Pike Co., Ga.
