Frank E. Glancey, 94, of Viola, died on February 6, 1962. He had been in failing health for some time. Frank was born Nov. 8, 1867 in Aledo, a son of James and Jane Plunkett Glancey. He was reared and received his education there.
He married Lucy Jane Crook in Aledo in 1886. She preceded him in death. A daughter and two sons also preceded him in death.
He was employed as a plumber and tinner in Viola for many years. He had resided in Viola more than 50 years. He was of Methodist faith.
Surviving are a son, Emery, Viola; seven daughters, Mrs. Minnie Plunkett and Mrs. Don Beard, both of Viola, Mrs. Reuben Barr, Rock Island, Mrs. Harry Lunn and Mrs. Joe Pitman, both of Reynolds, Mrs. Boyd Dotson, Silvis, and Mrs. Fred Beck, Sherrard; 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
