Anna Mae “Ann” Aleckson, 80, Hinckley, died February 11, 2015, at her home.

Funeral service were held Tuesday, February 17, at First Presbyterian Church in Hinckley with Rev. Kevin Carr officiating.

Arrangements were by Tatting-Methven Funeral Home.

Ann was born October 12, 1934, at home in Clover Township, to Stanley “Jack” and Dorothy (Irons) Grace. She graduated from Hinckley High School in 1953. She married Russell Aleckson December 6, 1952, at the Presbyterian Church in Markville. They resided in St. Paul where she was employed by several companies, including Montgomery Ward, the phone company, American Greeting Cards, and 3M. They purchased a home in Woodbury and Ann worked for many years as a waitress at Howard Johnsons close to their home. In the late l980s Ann purchased a bar and grill in Mellen, WI. Later on she returned to Hinckley to live and waitressed at Cassidy’s Restaurant for many years. Ann attended First Presbyterian Church, was a member of the Clover Friendly Neighbor Club and the Cloverdale Seniors.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband Russ; son Rick; sisters Mary Garbe and Char Nelson; brother-in-law Ed Nelson; and infant niece Sheila Mae Turgeon.
