Lewis Weltz, 71, died March 29 at his home in Oakdale. The funeral was held Wednesday with burial in Crown Hill cemetery. Lewis Mathew Weltz was born April 11, 1960 at Frankfort, Illinois. He was married on April 8, 1892 to Mrs. Melissa Cole of Madison. They had 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl with the daughther dying in infancy. He was survived by his wife, 2 sons: Van and Dewey both of Oakdale, 2 brothers: Charles of Madison, Lawrence of Oakdale, 3 sisters: Mrs. Maggie Hime of Blue Island, Illinois; Mrs. Mary Sachtjen of Colon, South Dakota; Mrs. Kate Reiter of Clarkson, Nebraska.
