Brother Pvt. Harrison Conaway died from disease 19 May 1862 at Shiloh, TN, and was buried at Shiloh National Military Park.
Pvt. John W Conaway died 8 August 1862 from wounds received from a falling tree while the regiment was on duty at Memphis, TN.
