Tony Steck Is Called Beyond At Ft. Dodge
Tony Steck, well known former citizen of Rock Valley, died Tuesday morning at Fort Dodge which city had been his home for several years.
About 50 years of age, he was one of the most remarkable soldiers of the World was 25 years ago, serving in four major campaigns, yet coming out at the end of the war without a single scratch.
His brother, Jerry, received a wire stating his death Tuesday but no further details are available as yet.

... Tony Steck passed away at his home in Fort Dodge as he was drinking his morning coffee. Tony grew to manhood here where he married Mrs. Fern Marshall Barnes who with their three children are left to mourn. He leaves Dan Steck of Sibley, Ben Steck of Sioux City, Delko and Jerry of Rock Valley and Mrs. Cast Brower of Rock Rapids. Tony was a soldier of World War I and fought in several major battles. He was a member of the American Legion. The American Legion had charge of the Military funeral services.
