When George Andrew Mustard was born Christmas day on December 25, 1908 in Pike County his father, Guy Mustard, was 35 and his mother, Amanda J. Mossbarger was 27. He had at least 1 son (George Lee) with Clara Pearl Birkhimer who he married in 1933. He was raised in Bethel and his family had lost a daughter in birth year 1903 and a son in birth year 1907. When George was 13 he lost a brother in birth year Sept. 19, 1922 and a 17 year old brother in Sept. 22, 1922 in a drowning accident. Clara and George lived on a farm in Newton Township on Long Fork road. He was a pipe smoking farmer, teacher and known as a strict Principal at Elm Grove School and an educator in pike county west side for several years. He died in Waverly on February 26, 2002 at the age of 93. When Clara Pearl Birkhimer was born on February 14, 1910, in Jasper her father, Henry Harrison Birkhimer was 32 and her mother, Bertha Mae Scott was 26. She died on December 28, 2004 at the age of 94, and both are buried in Bethel Cemetery.
