Mr. Ostermueller was born Aug. 8, 1909 in Quincy, a son of George and Anna Winking Ostermueller. He married Mavis V. Hughes April 29, 1950 in Mexico, Mo. She survives.
He was a construction worker, an avid bowler, and a charter member of the Quincy Moose Lodge. He received the first annual appreciation award from the Quincy Bowling Association.
Surviving are his wife; two brothers, George and Edward, both of Quincy; two nieces; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister and five brothers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. John Beveridge. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
