Ira D. Evans

Ira D. Evans of 16 Rose avenue, Oneonta, died at noon on Tuesday at the Fox Memorial hospital. He had not been in the best of health for several years, but his condition had not caused anexiety until about two weeks ago.

Mr. Evans was born February 20, 1875, at Solon, Mich., his parents being Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Evans now of New Lisbon. He was married September 25, 1898, to Miss lina Briggs of Westville, and for most of the time since his home had been in Oneonta.

The deceased is survived by his wife and parents above named and by four children; libbie, Mary, Philip, and Louise, aged 19,16,13 and 5 years respectively; also by two brothers, Elmer Evans of meridale and Roderick of New Lisbon; and by four sisters, Mrs. Almeda Simmons of new Lisbon, mrs. Henry Adams of Otego, Mrs. o.C. Clute of Oneonta and Miss Ella Evans of new Lisbon.

The funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the family residence on Rose avenue. The Rev. Dr. Pendelton will officiate and interment will be in the Plains cemetery.
