Having blessed this world and her family for some 96 years, Ina Marie Maris Lincecum Miller was taken into the arms of her beloved Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, February 6, 2015.

Born on March 20, 1918 -- the first day of Spring -- in Brazoria, Texas, to Vera and Earl Maris, Ina Marie was the eldest of three children. In Heaven she joins her parents, her sister, Earlene Hart, and her little brother Elwood, who died December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor aboard the USS Arizona. Also welcoming "Ina Jane" will be her son-in-love, Bill Casteel, who loved her as his own mother.

Ina Marie married Val Dies ("Jake") Lincecum, Jr. and they were blessed with two daughters, Janet (Jan MacLean) and Sonja (Toni Casteel). Jake died of cancer in 1957 in San Antonio. In 1959, Ina met and married Bob Miller, a marriage which has lasted for over 50 years. Ina's daughters are grateful for the tender care, respect and love Bob has given their mother, and for the life they enjoyed together.

Ina Marie was small in stature, but large in spirit. She loved her Lord Jesus and desired more than anything for all her family and friends to know Him. She blessed everyone she met with her sweet smile and kind words. She loved God's Word, and attended Bible studies for many years, completing the entire Bible Study Fellowship curriculum in her 70s. Her family always teased her about her greeting card ministry - she said she was a "card-o." We will all miss those cards. We will miss her presence on this earth. Today is different from any day we have known: the woman who was wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend is no longer here. Heaven is blessed today with the presence of this precious lady.

Ina is survived by her husband and daughters; six grandchildren: Dawn MacLean; Kerry and Sheila MacLean; Jamie and Jane MacLean; Kellye and Greg Russell; Andy Casteel; and Corbin Casteel. She was blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Lindsay McGehee; Jon-Luc and Ethan Michael MacLean; Josie and Jackie MacLean; Evan, Andrew, Anne Maris and Rose Russell; and Jack and Mollie Casteel. She is also survived by her dear niece, Martha Jo Reeves of Silsbee, Texas.

Services celebrating her life will be at Cook-Walden Chapel, 6100 North Lamar, followed by a visitation in the chapel vestibule. Burial will be in Austin Memorial Park.

"This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." ~Ps. 118:3
