Richard L. Allman, "Ollie", 72, of Roanoke, died Sunday, February 28, 1999.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce C. Allman; his son, Richard L. Allman, Jr., and Melanie, Vinton; his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Allman Mays and Daniel D. Mays, Roanoke; his granddaughter, Morgan Allman and an expected granddaughter.

A graveside service will be held in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Tuesday, March 2, 1999, 3 p.m. with Dr. Daniel E. Scott officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel.

Also survived by a sister Barbara Allman Martindale. He was the Grandson of Will and Ellen Allmond.
