Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for LeeRoy Paul Belaire, 71, who passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue at 8:00 am until 12:30 pm on Wednesday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, by Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert.

Fr. David Broussard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Danielle Harrison and Kayla Frederick. Gift Bearers will be Victoria Frederick and Adam Harrison, Jr.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

Mr. Belaire loved spending time with his family in the country, most especially his grandchildren. He loved the holidays, especially Christmas and Easter – treasuring moments of the yearly tradition of “pacquing” eggs.
As a pastime, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, picking pecans on his property, and watching t.v. with his dog, Blackey. LeeRoy often enjoyed drinking coffee at Picard’s Auto Parts with his friends.

He is survived by two daughters, Eunice Frederick and husband, Troy, and Christyal "Peanut" Chiasson and husband, Dane; two sons, Kenneth Belaire and wife, Susan, and Patrick Belaire and wife, Janice; his brother, Wallace Belaire and wife, Charlotte; three sisters, Anna Mae Hart, Agathe Rieth, and Mary Ann Crochet; six grandchildren, Danielle Harrison and husband, Adam, Sr., Jordy Belaire and wife, Katie, Jamie Belaire and wife, Sabrina, Kayla Frederick and companion, Chance Thibodeaux, Garrett Chiasson, and Victoria Frederick; and one great grandchild, Adam Harrison, Jr.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christy Dugan Belaire; his parents, Andrew and Celeste Landry Belaire; three sisters, Jean Belaire, Nora Belaire, and Cecile Eddy; and nine brothers, Ward Belaire, Joseph Desire Belaire, Wilfred Belaire, Andrew Belaire, Jr., Jules Belaire, John Belaire, Michel Belaire, Amede Belaire, and Roosevelt Belaire.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Belaire, Patrick Belaire, Jordy Belaire, Jamie Belaire, Garrett Chiasson, and Troy Frederick.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest Dugan, Jr., Chance Thibodeaux, and Adam Harrison, Sr.
