Manuel Balseiro, Jr., 72, passed away on January 30, 2015. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed. Born in Tampa, he was a graduate of Jefferson High School and a member of the inaugural class of the University of South Florida. Upon graduation, Manuel entered the United States Air Force and served 28 years with the USAF and the Delaware Air National Guard, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. As an avid fan of baseball, he spent the majority of his life playing, coaching, watching, and sharing his love of the game with his family and friends.

Manuel is survived by his wife Diana; sons, Ryan (Tara), David, Daryl (Julia); brother, Ronald (Sylvia); and 2 grandchildren (Peyton and Chloe). He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel, Sr. and Dora, and his wife Sandra.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 from the Carrollwood Chapel of Blount & Curry Funeral Home, followed by committal services at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Best Friends Animal Society.
