Funeral services for Edna G. Frey, 98, of Silvis, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.
Mrs. Frey died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Edna Bohart was born April 9, 1906, in Annawan, Ill., daughter of Edward and Jennie Mapes Bohart. She married Julius ''Joe'' Claeys April 23, 1924. He died June 20, 1946. She married Clayton ''Bud'' Frey June 4, 1953. He died Oct. 23, 1985.
Mrs. Frey had been an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Altar & Rosary Society. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and bowling.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Van Thorre, East Moline; stepson, Robert Frey, Greendale, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; son, Herbert Claeys; two sisters and one brother.
