H. Roy Funck, 73, a resident of Hotel
Grand, died at 2:20 a.m. today at
Muscatine General hospital where he
had been a patient since Sunday.
A retired farmer, Mr. Funck was a life
resident of Muscatine. He was born
March 27, 1887, the son of Harry W.
and Fannie White Funck.
He was married Nov. 18, 1908, in
Muscatine, to Christina K. Vodegal.
Survivors include one son Colonel
(retired) LeRoy Funck of Van Nuys,.
Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Al
Ariano of Caracas, Venezuela; a
brother, Elmer Funck of Muscatine;
three sisters, Mrs. Helen Harbaugh,
Mrs. George Gebhardt and Mrs. Paul
McGill, all of Muscatine; and two
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife
and parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30
p.m. Monday at the Ralph J. Wittich
funeral home.
The body is now at the funeral home
where friends may call starting Sat-
urday evening. Interment will be at
Greenwood cemetery.
