Lillian Irene Barthule, formerly of Lincoln, died February 3, 2015 in Geneva. Born September 20, 1923 to Catherine (Hegel) and Jacob Cook. Lillian was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Employed by the University of Lincoln in the Food and Nutrition Department as a lab technician for 25 years. Lillian was an avid Husker football fan who attended many home and away games.

She spent the past four years at Heritage Crossings nursing home in Geneva where she received wonderful care from the nurses, doctors and staff.

Survivors: son John (Beverly). Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Alex; son, David Lee; parents; sisters, Shirley Beltz and Margaret Els.

Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Monday, February 9, at Butherus-Maser-Love funeral home, 4040 A Street in Lincoln.
