OBITUARY
MRS HENRY SILJENBERG
Funeral services were held Oct 28 at the W Harry Christy Funeral home in Sioux City, IA, for Mrs. Henry Siljenberg, 88, who died Oct 25 at a Sioux City nursing home.
Esther Boom was born Feb 21, 1887 in the Komstad community, Dakota territory, and as a young woman operated a dress shop in Canistota. She was married to Henry Siljenberg on July 23, 1909 at Sioux City.
In 1910 they moved to Willmar, MN, and in 1915 they moved to Centerville where they lived until returning to Sioux City in 1942. He died June 17, 1973.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Marvin Albers of Meckling, Mrs. Berdice Ofstad of Sioux City, and Mrs. Holly Talley of San Francisco, CA, two sons, Gilmore and Warren, both of Holland, MI, 18 grandchildren, of whom one is Mrs. Melvin Gabel Gabel of Beresford, 21 great-grandchildren.
