"Please make the following correction to the stone for Henry Arnold Bonifield and his daughter-in-law Mary Jane Mahaffey in the Crow Cemetery in Love County, Oklahoma. Despite the fact that the two are on the same stone, they were not husband and wife. Henry Arnold Bonifield was the husband of Rebecca R. Atwood. He lived from 1815 to 1890. Rebecca died before 1880, and he did not marry again. Mary Jane Mahaffey lived from 1862 to 1892. She was the first wife of Samuel Taylor Bonifield, who was a son of Henry Arnold Bonifield and Rebecca R. Atwood. The stone was put up by my grandfather's Uncle Knox Bonifield, the son of Samuel Taylor Bonifield and Mary Jane Mahaffey. He knew where his mother and grandfather were buried."
