FRANCES R. "FRAN" DEIBIG, 76, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Hospice Of North Central Ohio, Ashland after a lengthy illness.

Fran was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 27, 1939 to the late Michael and Agnes (Clark) McNamara. She married John D. "Jack" Deibig on July 9, 1966 and he preceded her in death on March 6, 1988.

Fran was retired from Galion Community Hospital. She was a huge fan and supporter of Galion sports. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Fran was known to be pleasant and sweet and always had a positive attitude.

She is survived by her son John (Christine) Deibig of Galion, her two daughters, Michelle Deibig and Denise (James) Hayes, all of Mansfield, her four grandchildren: Zachary Deibig, Jordan Hayes, Jakob Hayes and Megan Hayes, her sister Janet Ryan of Las Vegas, her brother Thomas (Janey) McNamara of Crownsville, Maryland and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion, with Pastor Christine Burns officiating, who was a lifelong friend to Fran. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Galion.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio in care of the funeral home.
