Funeral service will be Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Holt Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at York Cemetery in Bergman. Rev. Robert Shaddox will officiate.
Joe loved the Lord, his family, and life beyond measure. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, raised palomino parade horses riding in the Pasadena Rose Parade 14 times with the Shriners and was active in his Baptist church.
He loved to hunt and fish with his boys and just spending time with his family. He and Otheta have visited all but one state in the Union and have traveled around the world. He lived a full life and will be missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
He is survived by his wife Otheta Wood, their two sons Charles (wife Mary Ellen), Gary (wife Ann), grandchildren, Jennifer (husband Jonathan Tate), Jessica (husband Jason Lowrey), Luke (wife Amanda), Brianne, and great grandchildren, Lillian, James, Dylan, Harper, and Anna Rae.
