Mrs. Janie Olive Fisher, 63, who had
spent her entire life in the Illinois
City community, died at her home at
10 a.m. today of a heart attack. She
had been in failing health for a year.
The daughter of Howard and Mary
Catherine Gilbert Chandler, she was
born in Bloomington township. She was
married to Joseph B. Fisher on Feb.
13, 1896 at Illinois City by the Rev.
Mr. Bowen. She was a member of the
Illinois City Methodist church.
Surviving are her husband, four chil-
dren, Floyd Fisher of Tacoma, Wash.,
Howard Fisher of Ocean Park, Wash.,
Everett Fisher of South Bend, Wash.,
and Mrs. Alfred Becken of Ilwaco,
Wash. Five brothers and one sister
also survive, Ralph and Howard
Chandler and Mrs. Guy Duncan of Mus-
catine, Lewis Chandler of Portland,
Ore. and Joseph Chandler of Home
Valley, Wash.
Her parents, two sisters and one
brother preceded her in death.
The body is at the George M. Wittich
Funeral home where it will remain
pending arrangements for rites.
