D.A. James died Wednesday Aug. 25th, at his home, on Salt Creek. The cause of his death is not directly known. He was as well as usual on the Saturday evening before, but on Sunday morning his children found him at the edge of Mr. Fugates corn field in an unconscious condition. His children carried him to the house, and he lingered until Monday, when he died. He was buried Tuesday, and many sympathizing friends followed his remains to the grave.
