"The LaFayette Sun" - June 21, 1911:

Dudleyville - Mrs. Emily Sanderson died at her home in our town on the night of June 4. She had been sick for some time. Mrs. Sanderson and two daughters lived all alone, and in their love and watchful care she spent her life as pleasant as possible. You can imagine that life can never seem the same to them any more now that the good old mother is gone. She perhaps, was one among the oldest residents of the country. The Lord had permitted her to live to a ripe old age, having lived a few months over the three score years and ten. She was a good woman and has no doubt gone to reap the reward of the faithful. She was laid to rest in the Dudleyville Cemetery, the funeral conducted by Rev. McCoy, of Buttston.

Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep,
From which none ever wakes to weep,
A calm and undisturbed repose,
Unbroken by the least of foes.
