Lorraine was born February 13, 1921 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Robert A . and Ida (Anderson) Buckle.
Lorraine was a long time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of both the Belding American Legion and the VFW. She was also a member of the Prescott, Michigan, Moose Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church of Belding. She enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino, camping, fishing and spending time with family. Lorraine was blessed with a good, long life and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; Doyle Alexander in 1959 and Melvin Reminder in 1976. Also preceding her in death was a step-sister Florence Gould, two-step brothers; Raymond Stevens and Charles Buckle, a brother; Robert Harvey, three brother-in-laws; Charles Phillips, Butch Garcia and Ed Trumble, a son-in- law; Paul Dickens, three sons; James Alexander, Donald Alexander and Edson Alexander, and four grandsons; Todd Alexander, Shawn Alexander, Dale Austin, and Paul Dickens.
Lorraine is loved and survived by her children; Kay Dickens of Hamilton, Charles and Doris Alexander of Florida, Rebecca (Becky) and Raymond (Teaner) Austin of Belding, 28 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, three sisters; Viola Trumble of Belding, Mae Phillips of Saranac, Linda Garcia of Georgia, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Father Mark Bauer of St. Joseph/St. Mary Parish, officiating. Private burial will take place at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm, with rosary prayed at 7:30 pm, at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Alvah N. Belding Library.
