Alfred N. Drone, 79, of 2118 S. 9th St. died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Hospital.

Born in Dawson, the son of the late John and Amelia Kitchen Drone, he was a retired plumber.

A member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, and Local 137 of Plumbers & Steamfitters Union (AFL-CIO), he was a veteran of W.W.I.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley, in 1965.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel M.; son, Don A. of Athens; and three grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
