Mrs. Elwanda H. Ellis, age 76, of Okmulgee, OK, a native of Dardanelle, AR died Saturday, January 17, 1998 at Okmulgee. She was born November 5, 1921 at Dardanelle, AR to the late J. H. and Ada Tilmon Hasty Sr. She had lived in Okmulgee since 1947. She worked for Phillip Petroleum Co before retirement in 1982. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Okmulgee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman G. Ellis who died November 24, 1993. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, James C. and Brice Hasty of Ola, AR.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, J. H. and Pat Hasty Jr. a sister, Oleta E. and brother-in-law, Warren Birkhead of Ola; four nephews and four nieces.
Funeral was held Monday at the Methodist Church at Okmulgee by Dr. Joe Dais. Burial was in Okmulgee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Methodist Women's organization in Okmulgee or to Hospice.
