The dates included on this memorial was taken from a notary statement made in 1944 from the original bible from 1793, this statement is taken directly from the bible, which has been given to the DAR and is now in Washington, D. C. this bible was in 1944 owned by Mrs. Geneva Murphy Tucker of 1108 Arlington Ave, S.W. Atlanta, GA, statement taken by Helen Thompson, Notary. It list the parents also as Simon Murphy II and Sarah Duke along with the place of birth of both Mark & Holly Duke. I hope this resolves any and all date problems now in print or carved in stone. Also is listed the names and birth dates for 11 children, however except for the last two children only initials for middle names are used.
