Clifford D. Hixson,78 of Ruffsdale died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at his home. He was born February 18, 1936 in Bullskin Twp. a son of the late Preston and Nannie Clark Hixson. Cliff was a graduate of the former Ramsay High School. He retired from Westinghouse Electric where he was employed for 30 years. She was a member of the Bullskin Twp Fair Board and the Bullskin Twp. Historical Society. He was a member of the Paradise United Methodist Church and the Dartball Team. He is survived by three sons, Rev. Russell Hixson and wife Elaine of Wattsburg, Pa., Roy Hixson and wife Janet of Torrington. CT. and Jeffrey Hixson and wife Mary Jo of Scottdale; six grandchildren, Luke Hixson, Leah Hunt, Michael McAllister and wife Kelli, Jeffrey Hixson, Jr. and wife Tara and Jeremy and Jacob Hixson; four great grandchildren, Piper McAllister and Mackenzie, Abigail and Beckley Hixson. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Joanne L. Baird Hixson in 2005 and his brothers, J.P., Elmer, James, Dempsey, Delbert, Lindy and Donald Hixson. Friends will be received from 7-9 P.M. Tuesday and 2-4,6-9 P.M. Wednesday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc. 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant where services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Gary Atkinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Paradise United Methodist Church in memory of Clifford D. Hixson.
