Willard was the son of Clyde and Grace (Ayres) Halfhill. He attended Mount Pleasant School until the family moved to Allerton, where he graduated from high school. On april 15, 1939, he married Janice Shelton and they made their home south of Clio. Three children were born, Louise, Leonard and Lowell. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Janice; brother, Curt; half-brother, Doyle; two half-sisters, Florence and Glyda and son Leonard. He is survived by his dau. Louise (Wayne) Alley; daughter-in-law, Ellie Burton, and son Lowell (Diana) Halfhill; grandchildren, Greg (Patty) Alley, Lori (Tom) bruening, Debra (John) Pekarck, Michael (Jeanette)Halfhill, Matt (Jessie) Halfhill, Holli (Matt) Bowser; great-grandchildren, Jen (Alex)Ritzman, Amanda and Tyler Alley, Bryan (Alex) Bruening, Cole Bruening, Asddidy and Logan Pekarck, Ethan and Johanna Halfhill, Wilda and Cylvia Halfhill, Madison Bowser; two year old great-great-granddaughter, Chloe Ritzman.
