MUNCIE - Katherine Blankenship, 91, Muncie, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at her residence.

She was born August 4, 1923 in Petersville, Kentucky to the late James and Lulie (Plank) Little. She married Henry Cooper in 1940 and they had a daughter in 194; Katherine became a widow in 1942 and then was remarried in 1943 to Jesse Blankenship, who was also a widower with five children; Katherine and Jesse had a daughter of their own in 1944. She was a homemaker and sold Avon for thirty-four years before retiring.

She is survived by four daughters, Sally Robertson, Muncie, Beulah Conner (husband, Wayne), Economy, Indiana, Barbara Little (husband, Cecil), Sebring, Florida and Betty Crouch (husband, Hobert), Jamestown, Tennessee; one son, John Frank Blankenship (wife, Pauline), Hagerstown, Indiana; one son-in-law, Bob Robertson, Muncie; one daughter-in-law, Susan Hamm, Hagerstown, Indiana; one brother, Dennis Little, Yorktown, Indiana; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved poodle, Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Henry Cooper and Jesse Blankenship; one daughter, Mary Sue Robertson; one son, Billy Hamm; one son-in-law, Norman Robertson; four grandchildren, Carl Little, Kenneth Conner, Lois Collins and Robert Hamm; ten brothers, Ed, George, William Leslie, Sam, Ester, Arthur, Carl, Cluster, Jake, and Arnold Little; and two sisters, Patricia Rose, and Rosa Ferguson.

Services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 with Michael Morrow officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Calling will be at Parson Mortuary from 12:00 noon until time of service
