Erna Sears

GOODLAND - Erna Sears, 89, Goodland, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998, at Goodland Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Sears was born Erna Peterson on April 29, 1909, near Minden, Neb., and was a longtime Sherman County resident. She was an elementary school cook for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otha; and a grandson.

Survivors include a sister, Grace Cheney of Rexford; two stepdaughters, Glessner Johnson of Denver and Flossie Hannah of Sun City, Ariz.; six stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandsons; and three step great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Mountain time today at Goodland Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Rexford Cemetery.
